The college’s Center for Advanced Transportation Systems Simulation (CATSS), hosted a major three day Driving Simulation Conference. The conference focused on simulation applications designed to save lives and money and to better understand how drivers react to traffic congestion, frustration and perform using cell phones and global positioning systems (GPS). According to CATSS Director Dr. Essam Radwan, “all the major players were there - among them Daimler Chrysler, Ford, and the Federal Highway Administration.” The conference attracted representatives from Canada, England, France, Germany, Korea, Japan, Spain, and Sweden. |
