No One Has Done It Better at UCF

Faculty and staff members at the College of Engineering and Computer Science demonstrated their belief in their college by going above and beyond during the college’s first organized faculty and staff campaign last fall. Together they raised close to $190,000 during the three-week, volunteer-driven fundraising drive called Building Upon a Solid Foundation, nearly doubling the $100,000 goal. The money will go toward student scholarships, lab enhancements, funding for conference attendance and other important items state funding does not provide.

Under the leadership of Professor Charles Reilly of Industrial Engineering and Mona Jenkins of Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering, the campaign was launched in September. During a brief ceremony, UCF President John Hitt thanked everyone “for their willingness to lead the college to the next level,” while Dean Neal Gallagher encouraged his team by saying, “the most important step to build donor support outside the college is this campaign.”
