Our Programs Rank Among Best

UCF’s College of Engineering & Computer Science ranks among the nation’s top 100 graduate schools, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of the country’s best graduate programs.

The magazine ranked the college 81st among 187 graduate engineering programs that it scored for the 2007 listings, which were just published in the magazine’s April 3 edition and the book, “America’s Best Graduate Schools.”

In individual specialty rankings, the college’s graduate program in industrial engineering ranked 33rd, while electrical engineering placed 69th. Computer engineering moved into the rankings for the first time at 67.

U.S. News & World Report calculates its graduate school and program rankings based on a number of factors, including peer and recruiter assessment scores, graduate entrance examination scores, acceptance rates, faculty resources and research funding.

In Florida, only UCF and the University of Florida had engineering colleges ranked in the magazine’s top 100 engineering graduate schools.
