Alumnus to Give Commencement Speech |

Florida Secretary of Transportation Denver Stutler, Jr. will give the commencement speech May 6 to graduates from the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Governor Bush appointed Stutler to the position last summer after he served as the Governor’s chief of staff. The state DOT has nearly 7,500 employees and a seven billion dollar budget. Stutler, received his undergraduate (‘87) and master’s degrees (‘89) in civil engineering from UCF. He played football at UCF and was elected Student Body President. Prior to entering public service, Mr. Stutler was a Principle with Camp Dresser and McKee, Inc., an international environmental engineering firm. He joined the State Department of Environmental Protection in 1999. |
